The geography of Wuyishan

Wuyishan city is located north Fujian Province, the entire boundary from east to west extends 70 kilometers, from south to north long 72.5 kilometers. Is located the east longitude between 117°37'22 to 118°19'44, the north latitude between 27°27'31 to 28°04'49. East continually Pucheng County, south meets the Jianyang city, west is near Guangze County, north and Jiangxi Province Qianshan county adjoining. Total area 2,798 square kilometers.

Wuyishan city is the central Asia tropics area. Within the boundaries, eastern part, west part, north part is surrounded by hills,middle and south is smoother, is the mountainous region hilly area. Urban district elevation 210 meters. Landform each level clearly demarcated, assumes the ladder shape distribution. The topography by northwest inclines to the southeast, the most high place Huanggangshan elevation 2,158 meters, are called "the East China high point" in our country mainland, the most low spot is Xintian town, the elevation 165 meters. Peak and the most low point elevation difference 1,993 meters, the topography height difference is big, for entire province.
